Terms & Conditions

The ground rules for using Nurse Moves — written plainly, so you can spend less time reading fine print and more time on you.

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Nurse Moves LLC ("Nurse Moves," "we," "us," or "our"), a United States company. They govern your use of the Nurse Moves website at https://nursemoves.com, the Nurse Moves mobile application, and any related content, features, and services (together, the "Service").

By creating an account, joining the Nurse Moves early-access list, submitting a form on our website, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. The Service

Nurse Moves is a wellness and burnout-recovery platform created for nurses. Depending on what we have released at any given time, the Service may include:

  • Burnout self-assessments and a personal recovery score
  • Personalized wellness care plans and daily wellness rhythms
  • Meditation, mindfulness, breathing, and relaxation content
  • A community feed (the "Nurse Lounge") for connecting with other nurses
  • A podcast and nurse-centered articles and resources (coming soon)
  • Journaling with optional AI-generated reflections
  • AI voice check-ins
  • Travel, rest, and wellness suggestions

The Service is currently in an early-access period. Features may be added, changed, paused, or removed as we learn from the community and improve the product. We will do our best to communicate meaningful changes, but we cannot guarantee that any particular feature will always be available.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. Nurse Moves is designed for nurses, nursing students, other healthcare professionals, and the people who support them — but anyone who meets the age requirement and agrees to these Terms is welcome.

By using the Service, you confirm that you meet this age requirement and that your use of the Service complies with the laws that apply to you.

4. Your Account

Some parts of the Service require an account. When you create one, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current information (such as your name, email, and nursing role) and keep it up to date
  • Keep your login credentials confidential and not share your account with others
  • Notify us promptly at info@nursemoves.com if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission

You are responsible for activity that happens under your account. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms.

5. Acceptable Use

The Nurse Lounge and other community spaces exist so nurses can feel seen, supported, and safe. To keep them that way, you agree to follow these community guidelines:

  • Be kind. Treat other members with respect and compassion — the same care you give your patients.
  • No harassment. Do not bully, threaten, demean, or target other users, and do not post hateful, discriminatory, or abusive content.
  • No patient information. Never post protected health information (PHI) or any details that could identify a patient — names, photos, room numbers, diagnoses tied to a person, or anything similar. Vent about the hard day; protect the people in it.
  • No medical advice. Do not give clinical or medical advice to other users through the Service, and do not present community posts as professional guidance.
  • No misuse. Do not spam, impersonate others, post unlawful content, attempt to access other users' accounts or data, interfere with the Service's operation, or use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

We may remove content or restrict accounts that violate these guidelines, at our discretion, to protect the community.

6. Content

Your content

You keep ownership of the content you create in the Service — your posts, journal entries, check-ins, and other contributions ("User Content"). So that the Service can work, you grant Nurse Moves LLC a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, process, and display your User Content within the Service, solely for the purpose of operating, providing, and improving the Service.

Private content such as journal entries is displayed only to you; community posts are visible to other members as the feature describes. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your data.

Removal of harmful content

We may remove or restrict User Content that violates these Terms, harms other users, contains patient information, or creates legal risk — with or without notice. We are not obligated to monitor all content, but we care deeply about keeping the community safe.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service itself — including the app, website, design, logos, text, graphics, audio, video, software, and the Nurse Moves name and brand — is owned by Nurse Moves LLC or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your own personal, non-commercial wellness. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works from the Service without our written permission.

8. Wellness Content Is Not Medical Advice

Please read this carefully. Nurse Moves is a wellness platform — it is not a medical device, not therapy, and not a substitute for professional care. This assessment is designed to help you reflect on your current level of stress and burnout. It is not a medical diagnosis, mental health evaluation, or substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the advice of a qualified health professional with any questions you may have about a medical or mental health condition.

If you are in crisis or experiencing thoughts of harming yourself, please contact emergency services or call/text 988 (U.S. Suicide & Crisis Lifeline).

All content in the Service — assessments, recovery scores, care plans, meditations, AI reflections, voice check-ins, articles, podcast episodes, and suggestions — is provided for general wellness, reflection, and educational purposes only. Never disregard professional advice or delay seeking it because of something you read or heard in Nurse Moves.

9. Early Access Program

By joining the Nurse Moves early-access list, you get early access to Nurse Moves before public launch. In return, please understand that:

  • The early-access version of the Service is provided "as is" and may contain bugs, incomplete features, or interruptions
  • Features, content, and data structures may change between early-access builds, and some early-access data may not carry over to future versions
  • Feedback, suggestions, and ideas you share with us may be used to improve the product without obligation or compensation to you — your voice genuinely shapes what we build

10. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied — including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any wellness outcome will be achieved.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Nurse Moves LLC and its officers, employees, and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of data, loss of goodwill, or emotional distress — arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the Service. To the extent any liability cannot be excluded, our total liability for all claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) fifty U.S. dollars (US $50).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service or delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms, if we are required to by law, or if we discontinue the Service — and where reasonable, we will try to give you notice. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will survive.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the laws of the state in which Nurse Moves LLC is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service will be resolved in the courts located in that state, and you consent to their jurisdiction, except where the law of your place of residence requires otherwise.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time — for example, when we launch new features or when the law changes. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, for material changes, give you reasonable notice through the Service or by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
